A fellow writer, Jovan Jones, has just published a great book “Chasing the Avatar,” and is receiving a lot of growing attention for her raw look and semi-memoir on her journey from delving in the darkness and finding her way into the light.

I highly recommend you check it out!

A Tiny Update

Filed under: Blogging, Project News — bsjpro @ 6:18 pm

It’s been a long time since I’ve last update my blog, but nothing but good news on the home front.  My family and I have finally settled in after months of running around like chickens with our heads cut off.

After numerous delays, I am back on track with the series of shorts and the artwork is phenomenal!!

Here’s a little taste of the newest cover being presented for the ND projects:

I hope everyone has a great remainder of their year, and a big Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you guys!

Thank You

Filed under: Blogging — bsjpro @ 5:52 pm

I wanted to take a few moments today and just say, “Thank You” to those who have served, are serving, and those who have given their lives to protect our freedoms and way of life.

My heart holds a special place for our nation’s vets. My prayers are with all those who have lost loved ones.

They served with an honor and courage that will always be remembered.

My family and I, thank you for your sacrifices.

Upcoming Show for B.T.

Filed under: Blogging — bsjpro @ 7:28 am

I was reminded today that a good friend of mine will be playing at The Homewood in beautiful Asheville, NC on the 24th of May.

If you are wanting the chance to hear one of the newest and biggest sensations of the 21st century classical music era, then you don’t want to miss Brian Turner’s performance. You won’t be dissapointed.

And if you come, not only will you have an enchanting night filled with awe-inspiring music, but I’ll be sitting right beside you losing myself in the moment as well. Also, those who come will get a chance to meet the newest artist for the upcoming project “Solo Run” and the newly revamped project “New Dawn.”

More info about the artist will be placed on my website soon.

‘Til next time… stay blessed, and be well.

Artists update

Filed under: Project News — bsjpro @ 4:47 pm

In case you haven’t heard, I am currently looking for ONE artist for a long term assignment with the revamping of a project already in progress. Because this is a series, composite work has already been done, and will NOT be changed. The artist will have to be flexible and be able to work off the original composite work in the earlier series.

I’ve gotten a few replies regarding this in recent weeks, but not as many as I would like. I know there are some great artists out there, so feel free to drop me a line on my contact page, if interested.

And yes, for those who are wondering. Monetary compensation will be provided.

Lots of love guys!!

The world keeps turning…

Filed under: Blogging — bsjpro @ 8:45 am

A new site, a new blog (thanks WordPress, and the cool dude over at GD too!), a relatively new move, and a new car; man 2006/2007 was a true adventure, and 2008 is already shaping up to be a wild ride in itself!

Lots of things have changed, and much has stayed the same.

I’m still cornier than the average cornflake, still obsessed with BSG, and still loving Johnny D. Life is terrific!

What hasn’t remained the same: my new site (hence the word “new”), among some other lovely improvements in lifestyle, family, friends, etc. I won’t go into all the details, but let’s just say a new addition has arrived, the family has grown (why so many are getting busy, I have no earthly idea. Must be something in the water!), and things are a little bit more comfy in the St. John home.

I’ve gone from getting shot down on a few screenplays, to rising to the top of my game all in the time frame of about a year. I’m thankful to AMPAS, Walt Disney, I.G., and all the other guys who have helped me move forward to bigger and greater things.

Over the next several weeks and months, you’ll probably be getting a few posts regarding new projects, and a familiar one that is resurfacing after about 8 years sitting on the back-burner. I bet you already know what I’m talking about, huh? Kudos, to you!!

Until next time — everyone take it easy!
